Please read the rate conditions before booking.

Making a booking. A reservation becomes confirmed when the booking engine issues a confirmation. Please check the guest name, dates, room type, occupancy, price, payment schedule and cancellation conditions before completing the booking. Contact reception promptly if anything is incorrect.

Prices and payment. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes unless the booking page states otherwise. Payment timing and accepted methods depend on the rate selected. The secure booking provider processes online booking and payment information under its own terms and privacy notice.

Cancellations, changes and no-shows. The cancellation, amendment, prepayment and no-show rules displayed for the selected rate during booking form part of your contract. Flexible and non-refundable rates can have different conditions. Where the booking was made through another travel website or agent, changes and cancellations must normally be requested through that provider.

Arrival and departure. Check-in is from 14:00 to 23:00 and check-out is from 08:00 to 11:00. Reception is open daily from 08:00 to 23:30. Guests must arrive by 23:00 unless reception has agreed otherwise in writing.

Identification and key deposit. A valid government-issued photo ID is required at check-in. Digital or scanned identification is not accepted. A £20 cash or ID deposit is required for room keys and is returned in accordance with the hotel’s check-out procedure, subject to the key being returned and no outstanding charges.

Guests and rooms. The number of people staying must not exceed the confirmed occupancy. The lead guest must provide accurate contact details and is responsible for the conduct of everyone included in the booking. Requests for a particular room, floor, bed arrangement, early arrival or late departure are subject to availability unless confirmed in writing.

Hotel conduct. Hotel 261 is smoke-free, with smoking permitted only in the designated outdoor area. Pets are not permitted. Guests must not cause unreasonable noise, nuisance, danger or damage. The hotel may refuse entry or end a stay where reasonably necessary for safety, serious misconduct, fraud or a material breach of these terms. Charges may be made for loss or damage caused by a guest, supported by reasonable evidence.

Parking, belongings and requests. Limited on-site parking costs £15 per day, from 14:00 on arrival until 11:00 on departure, and should be reserved in advance. Vehicles and belongings are left at the guest’s own risk except where loss results from the hotel’s negligence or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Special requests are not guaranteed unless confirmed.

Events outside reasonable control. If circumstances outside the hotel’s reasonable control materially affect a stay, we will contact the guest where possible and offer the remedies required by the booking terms and applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including statutory consumer rights.

Law and complaints. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Please raise concerns with reception as soon as possible so we can try to resolve them. Consumers may also use any rights available under applicable law.

How we use personal information

Hotel 261 Ltd is the data controller for personal information it collects directly. We may collect names, contact details, booking and stay information, messages, payment status, accessibility or special-request information, and technical information needed to operate and protect the website.

We use this information to respond to enquiries, administer reservations and stays, take or reconcile payments, provide requested services, keep records, prevent fraud, protect guests and staff, and meet legal obligations. Our lawful bases may include performing a contract, taking steps at your request before a contract, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the hotel. Where consent is required, it can be withdrawn.

Information may be shared where necessary with our booking engine, payment processor, website hosting, database, email and IT service providers, professional advisers, insurers, and public authorities where required by law. If a supplier processes information outside the UK, we require an appropriate legal safeguard where applicable. We do not sell personal information.

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, including the duration of a booking or enquiry and any additional period required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Retention periods are reviewed and information is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your information, object to certain processing, receive portable information, and complain. To make a request, email reception@hotel261.com. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Other websites and services reached through links, including the booking provider and Google Maps, operate under their own privacy notices. Please review them before providing information.
